"Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
This is How I would Die
This is how I would Die Into the Love I Have for you
~ Jalaludin Rumi
LOVE SOUNDS THE MUSICOF THE SPHERES
O soul, if thou, too, wouldst be free,Then love the Love that shuts thee in.‘Tis Love that twisteth every snare;‘Tis Love that snaps the bond of sin;Love sounds the Music of the Spheres;Love echoes through Earth’s harshest din.The world is God’s pure mirror clear,To eyes when free from clouds within. With Love’s own eyes the Mirror view, And there
see God to self akin
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Make Peace
Make peace with the universe. Take joy in it. It will turn to gold. Resurrection will be now. Every moment,
a new beauty.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Out Beyond the Ideas
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’
doesn’t make any sense.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
A Community of the Spirit
There is a community of the spirit.
Join it, and feel the delight
of walking in the noisy street
and being the noise.
Drink all your passion,
and be a disgrace.
Close both eyes
to see with the other eye.
Open your hands,
if you want to be held.
Sit down in the circle.
Quit acting like a wolf, and feel
the shepherd’s love filling you.
At night, your beloved wanders.
Don’t accept consolations.
Close your mouth against food.
Taste the lover’s mouth in yours.
You moan, “She left me.” “He left me.”
Twenty more will come.
Be empty of worrying.
Think of who created thought!
Why do you stay in prison
when the door is so wide open?
Move outside the tangle of fear-thinking.
Live in silence.
Flow down and down in always
widening rings of being.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
The Flame of Love
~ Jalaludin Rumi
How long wilt thou dwell on words and superficialities?
A burning heart is what I want; consort with burning.
Kindle in thy heart the flame of Love,
And burn up utterly thoughts and fine expressions.
O Moses! the lovers of fair rites are one class,
They whose hearts and souls burn with Love another.
Who makes these changes?
I shoot an arrow right.
It lands left.
I ride after a deer and find myself
Chased by a hog.
I plot to get what I want
And end up in prison.
I dig pits to trap others
And fall in.
I should be suspicious
Of what I want.
Who makes these changes?
~ Jalaludin Rumi
“If you are seeking, seek us with joy For we live in the kingdom of joy. Do not give your heart to anything else But to the love of those who are clear joy, Do not stray into the neighborhood of despair. For there are hopes: they are real, they exist – Do not go in the direction of darkness – I tell you: suns exist.”
~ Jalaludin Rumi
SEEK US WITH JOY
Make peace with the universe. Take joy in it. It will turn to gold. Resurrection will be now. Every moment, a new beauty.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Make Peace
A Moment Of Happiness
You and I sitting on the verandah,
apparently two, but one in soul, you and I.
We feel the flowing water of life here,
you and I, with the garden's beauty
and the birds singing.
The stars will be watching us,
and we will show them
what it is to be a thin crescent moon.
You and I unselfed, will be together,
indifferent to idle speculation, you and I.
The parrots of heaven will be cracking sugar
as we laugh together, you and I.
In one form upon this earth,
and in another form in a timeless sweet land.
~ Jalaludin Rumi

You personify God'smessage
You personify God's message.
You reflect the King's face.
There is nothing in the universe that you are not
Everything you want, look for it within yourself--
you are that.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Show Patience
If you show patience, I'll rid you of this virtue.
If you fall asleep, I'll rub the sleep from your eyes.
If you become a mountain, I'll melt you in fire.
And if you become an ocean, I'll drink all your water.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Moving Water
When you do things from your soul, you feel a river
moving in you, a joy.
When actions come from another section, the feeling
disappears.
Don't let others lead you. They may be blind or, worse, vultures.
Reach for the rope of God. And what is that? Putting aside self-will.
Because of willfulness people sit in jail, the trapped bird's wings are tied,
fish sizzle in the skillet.
The anger of police is willfulness. You've seen a magistrate
inflict visible punishment.
Now see the invisible. If you could leave your selfishness, you
would see how you've been torturing your soul. We are born and live inside black water in a well.
How could we know what an open field of sunlight is?
Don't insist on going where you think you want to go. Ask the way to the spring. Your living pieces will form a harmony.
There is a moving palace that floats in the air with balconies and clear water flowing through, infinity everywhere, yet contained under a single tent.
In the Waters of Purity
In the waters of purity, I melted like salt
Neither blasphemy, nor faith, nor conviction, nor
doubt remained.
In the center of my heart a star has appeared
And all the seven heavens have become lost in it.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Any lifetime
Any lifetime that is spent without seeing the master
Is either death in disguise or a deep sleep.
The water that pollutes you is poison;
The poison that purifies you is water.

Out of your Love - Rumi in Business
Out of your love the fire of youth will rise.
In the chest, visions of the soul will rise.
If you are going to kill me, kill me, it is alright.
When the friend kills, a new life will rise.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
Any Soul That Drank the Nectar
Any soul that drank the nectar of your passion was lifted.
From that water of life he is in a state of elation.
Death came, smelled me, and sensed your fragrance instead.
From then on, death lost all hope of me.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
You are an incredible woman and you deserve to be celebrated.
Wishing you a day as special as you are.
Happy Women's Day!
You Are A Woman
You are the light of the veil, Like dawn of the light.
Just emerging from the extreme of the night.
The water brings the living beings, uploaded within a revolution.
You are the essence of the of life, that keeps the water in motion.
Your colors are reflected in the form of mother, daughter, sister and a wife.
Your every aspect is a miracle, Your every sacrifice is might.
You are the breath of the soul, Like the fragrance of the rose.
Just filling the air with your divine prose.
The earth bears the fruits and flowers, nourished by your grace.
You are the source of the joy, that makes the earth a better place.
Your beauty is manifested in the shape of lover, friend, teacher and guide.
Your every word is a wisdom, Your every action is a tide.
As mother, you give birth to new life Nurturing and caring, through joy and strife
As daughter, you bring love and light Filling our hearts with hope and delight
As sister, you stand by our side Offering comfort, as we take life's ride
And as wife, you bring love and devotion Uniting hearts, in eternal motion.
Your every aspect is a miracle divine
A beacon of hope, in this world of mine
And with each sacrifice, you prove your might
A true embodiment of love and light.

Who Says Words
With My Mouth?
Who Says Words With My Mouth? - Rumi in Business
All day I think about it, then at night I say it.
Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing?
I have no idea.
My soul is from elsewhere, I'm sure of that,
and I intend to end up there.
This drunkenness began in some other tavern.
When I get back around to that place,
I'll be completely sober. Meanwhile,
I'm like a bird from another continent, sitting in this aviary.
The day is coming when I fly off,
but who is it now in my ear who hears my voice?
Who says words with my mouth?
Who looks out with my eyes? What is the soul?
I cannot stop asking.
If I could taste one sip of an answer,
I could break out of this prison for drunks.
I didn't come here of my own accord, and I can't leave that way.
Whoever brought me here will have to take me home.
This poetry, I never know what I'm going to say.
I don't plan it.
When I'm outside the saying of it,
I get very quiet and rarely speak at all.
~ Jalaludin Rumi
